The Avian Crew Leader will organize the avian ecology and resident bird study interns. The position will involve banding birds/nestlings, re-sighting birds, point counts, nest box grid survey, and nest searching. Prior bird handling and experience with GIS/GPS and some statistics are preferred. In addition to the field research, the avian crew leader will take on a supervisory role for the two projects, overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day logistics. The successful candidate will work in conjunction with staff to ensure the projects stay on track and that weekly benchmarks are reached. The ideal candidate will have worked a minimum1-2 field seasons, preferably on a team.
The position will start in mid-April and run through August 2018. Compensation includes $1,250/month and housing.
