Co-farmer Posted Aug 22
Many Forks Farm , Clarksburg, MA
Have you been working as a farm apprentice or farm hand for a couple of years and ready for the next level of responsibility and commitment? Many Forks Farm seeks an individual or a couple to co-farm with the current farmer and further develop this small vegetable farm in Western Massachusetts. In its sixth year of production in 2017, the farm has two acres in cultivation, two high tunnels, a propagation house, and two caterpillar tunnels. We have been offering our 125 varieties of vegetables through a 50-member CSA and farmer's markets.

Share in the responsibilities, risks, and rewards of the season while collaborating to grow and refine the farm operations and the farm's relationships in the community. The desire to make a two year commitment will make this relationship fruitful. Year-round housing available + base salary + profit sharing financial structure. Many options can be considered for structuring the farming/living/working particulars.

The hope is to expand the farm's market and enterprise venues while building on its reputation for beautiful, healthful vegetables grown for a hyper-local clientele.

After taking a look at the farm's website, get in contact with Sharon Wyrrick, farmer/owner, by email to introduce yourself. Please include a description of your farming experience and interests, along with any initial questions, so we can start conversing about the possibilities!
